Rate increase
NextEra energy is finding me $865.27 for breaking the agreement. They called me to extend my contract, but did not mention they were raising the rate to 12 cents for kwh. They are the ones that broke the contract by raising my rate not me for changing suppliers.

I did some DD on Nextera. They worked with the City of Gardner, MA.
Proposed a competitive price for business's and residents, but 6 months later they were charging 24 cents per kWh while EVERY other provider was charging 14 cents per kWh. Neither the City or Nextera notified the customers of the rate change. Once it was noticed, the electric bill almost doubled. It took 2 months to change providers.
Great short term profit, but not a trustworthy company long term. Just search for "Nextera derivative suit" or "Nextera Unhappy", or "Nextera Maine". Also, check with the BBB for complaints.
Very unethical company IMO. I won't touch them.

Preferred solution: Would love a class-action so that all the people they've screwed with their price gouging get compensated/reimbursed.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE RESOLVE ACCOUNT ISSUES AND CANNOT SPEAK WITH HUMAN TO RESOLVE WRONG ACCOUNT NUMBER.
THIS IS THE WORST ROBO VOICE *** I HAVE EVER ENDURED.

NextEra (FPL) has been overcharging Me for years. They are crooks and do not care about their customers.
The Manager I spoke with was not helpful and my next bill is going to be $700+ dollars for a program I never wanted to be in. Do not use them if you have the option.

NextEra Water Very Poor Payment Method
Most Unaccepted Payment Typer causing Frustration... I pay my Water bills through my bank account, for the pass three month my payments have been processed by "NextEra" late making my account at least over drafted once.
This month, Jan 2023 is going in the same direction... You have processed my payment on Jan 3, 2023, when called I was told to expect two or three weeks before drafted from my account..."What the *** is that about?

This 3rd party supplier was added to my columbia gas bill without my consent. I am very upset that without an agreement, or a verification this card came in the mail stating they are my supplier.
I am calling public utilities commissioner now.
They try to say that they are the supplier for the utility company which isn't the case. Their rates were well over the p.t.c.
